Create awareness on school health

The CHIP

Goal: 

Create awareness, provide necessary interventions on mental health challenges and improve decision making on sexuality and reproductive health issues among adolescents in secondary schools.

Process Objective:

  • To design a training manual by 30th September 2013.
  • To recruit and train 96 peer educators in 4 schools by 31st Jan, 2014.

Outcome Objective: 

  • To establish school health clubs and  train 192 peer educators in 8 schools by July 2014

Action Plan

  • Design training manual  and highlight program areas ( Sept 2013).
  • Identify 8 schools in Lagos Mainland  and Visits to schools to introduce the concept of School  Health Club (Sept - Dec. 2013).
  • Train 4 volunteers (Oct. 2013)
  • Commencement of school Health clubs(1st of Nov.  12013)
  • Conduct first evaluation by the end of Jan., 2014
  • Dissemination of results to key stakeholders
