To work in collaboration with all partners in the health sector to ensure every individual,household,community is adequately informed about health and has equitable access to high quality health and related interventions.

  • Curative Services-Management and treatment of diseases.
  • Preventive/Promotive Services-Health Education,Immunisation,Disease surveillance,Nutrition.
  • Rehabilitative Services- Mental Health,Orthotic and prosthetic,Physiotherapy

Goals

  • To improve the safety of health care services in the health facilities in Ghana.
  • To increase the capacity of health care providers in one region to adhere to standards of hand hygiene practices to reduce health care associated infections.
  • To build capacity in customer care and behavioural change.
  • To facilitate the implementation of standard hand hygiene practices among frontline health care providers

Objective

  • To train 80 frontline health care providers in Brong-Ahafo Region in standard hand hygiene practices by December 2013 
  • At least 80% of health care providers in Brong-Ahafo Region government health facilities are tr1ained in hand hygiene practices by December 2013
  • To train 80 nurses from the Regional Hospital and two District Hospitals in Brong-Ahafo i customer care and behavioural change. 
  • 60% of nurses in Brong-Ahafo government health facilities practice standard hand hygiene by the end of November 2013
