To conduct biomedical research and provide research training for clinical and laboratory scientists from Malawi and abroad

To conduct bio-medical research and provided research training for clinical and laboratory scientists from Malawi and abroad in the context of disease prevention and health promotion.

The CHIP
Goals
To reduce number of in-patient days by improving the communication system in Intensive Care Unit.
Objectives
- To reduce the extra number of in patient days (complications) by 50% by December 2014. On average, the patients are 4 extra days above the normal treatment days.
- To improve the use of patients 'information leaflets about patients' condition and care from 0-30% by end of February, 2014
- To increase the counseling time to guardian to three times a week by the end of February 2014
