About Organization

St. Francis hospital Mutolere is a 210 bed faith based hospital belonging to Kabale diocese. It operates within the Uganda health system, complementing the Uganda government’s efforts to offer health care and have a productive life. It is under the supervision of the Uganda Catholic Medical bureau, the technical arm of the Uganda Episcopal conference.  It offers curative, preventive and promotive health services. It also has a nurse training school with a capacity of 200 students. It is located in Kisoro district, South Western Uganda.

Current Mission Statement
To promote life to the full and to heal based on the imitation of Christ and his deeds. Here in lies the quest to promote access to health care for the less privileged and vulnerable social groups.

Proposed New Mission
To promote life to the full based on the imitation of Christ, through provision of quality health services, with preference for the poor and less privileged and vulnerable social groups of Kisoro district and the neighboring areas.

Goal Statement
The overall goal of our project is to improve the economic efficiency of the hospital through effective use of medical supplies and minimizing wastages.

Objective
To reduce total hospital expenses on medical supplies from 18% to 14% by June 2015.
