About the Organization
The Amref Health Africa is the largest International Health NGO in Africa. Founded in 1957 as the Flying Doctors of East Africa to provide critical health care to remote communities in East Africa, Amref Health Africa has since grown to become the main African based International Organization working in Health Development. Amref Health Africa’s vision is for “lasting health change in Africa”: communities with the knowledge, skills and means to maintain their good health and break the cycle of poor health and poverty
