About the Organization
Mulago National Referral Hospital (MNRH) is the national referral hospital for Uganda mandated to offer super specialized patient care, training and research. Mulago National Referral Hospital (MNRH) is the national referral hospital for Uganda mandated to offer super specialized patient care, training and research. It is also the teaching hospital for Makerere University College of Health Sciences.It is composed of 8 directorates; Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Child Health, Surgical Services, Medical Services , Support Services, Diagnostics & Therapeutics, Private Patient Services, Nursing and Patient Affairs.
The maternity ward provides care for women and their babies after childbirth. The special care unit handles new born babies who develop problems like sepsis, birth asphyxia before discharge. It also cares for babies who are born prematurely.
