About the Organization

St. John’s Community Centre (SJCC) is this 2016 realizing 59 years.  It is an institution of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Diocese of Nairobi. It was started by the Church Missionary Society (CMS) in 1957 with a purpose of providing social welfare and psychological support to the immigrants from the rural areas who had settled in Pumwani area of Nairobi. St. John’s Community Centre (SJCC) is this 2016 realizing 59 years.  It is an institution of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Diocese of Nairobi. Current Mission

An insufficient health workforce (Community structures of People addressing their health issues).

Improved community health in Nairobi informal settlements through community structures. 


Long Term Outcome Smart Objective

To have community stuctutes (umbrella groups) diagnosing and solving community health issues in Mathare, Pumwani, Kariobangi South and Kayole by July 2017

Established community structures (umbrella groups) comprising of community members in Mathare, Pumwani, Kariobangi south and Kayole by March 2017.
