About the Organization

We are the National Eye Health Programme  one of the programmes within the Ministry of Health & Sanitation responsible for the provision of a comprehensive (promotive, curative, preventive and rehabilitative) eye care services to populace of Sierra Leone. 

Current Mission

Program Goal Statement

To increase the prevention of blindness activities by promoting awareness for the importance of eye care for the communities in Sierra Leone 


Long Term Outcome Smart Objective

Objective – Long term Outcome: To create demand for eye health services by 40% by December 2017 thereby reducing prevalence of blindness by 5%Objective – Output or shorter term outcome: To conduct four sensitization meetings with community on eye health per month
