The CHIP
Goals
To improve Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in Nauwontos Community, Turkana County
Objectives
- To reduce maternal mortality rates from 600 per 100,000 live births to 300 per 100,000 live births, reduce neonatal mortality rate from 170 per 1000 live births to 60 per 1000 live births and under five ( 5) mortality rate from 220 to 1000 per live birth to 100 per 1000 live birth by December 2015
- To increase 4th visit ANC attendance from 32.8% of all pregnant women to 80% by Oct 2014,
- To increase skilled birth attendants rates from 6.9% to 50% by Dec 2014
- To Decrease the percentage of maternal deaths per month from 60% to 30% per month by Dec 2014
- To Decrease Neonatal deaths from 17% per month to 6% per month by Dec 2014
