About The Organization

National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital (NSIRH) is a specialist referral facility that offers health care to persons with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). Formerly Amani Chesire Hospital(1944), The National Spinal Injury Hospital, is located on a 1½ acre plot, along Lenana Road, Kilimani area, about 6km from the Nairobi Town center.

The hospital and the staff are committed to provide high quality healthcare services to all our patients/clients with dignity, professionalism and within the shortest time possible.

Proposed New Mission

The hospital and the staff are committed to provide high quality healthcare services to all persons with spinal cord injury with dignity, professionalism and within the shortest time possible.

Program Goal Statement 

To improve the resettlement procedures for persons with spinal cord injury at the National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital that will in turn improve home based care.

Long Term Outcome Smart Objective

To implement a comprehensive resettlement protocol for persons with spinal cord injury that will increase proper home based care from 5% to 40% by June 2016
